PEDESTRIAN SAFETY

There have been a number of car accidents involving pedestrians in the HRM in the last week, including some involving school-aged children. With winter in full swing, we would ask that you take the time to discuss with your son or daughter the importance of personal safety when walking or playing outside. The Halifax Regional Police have some great traffic safety tips on their website at: http://www.halifax.ca/Police/Programs/trafficsafety.html

Volunteers

It is expected that all volunteers have a criminal records check and child abuse check. These must be filed with the school prior to volunteering in the school or on school field trips. Thank You!

Lunch Monitors Required

If you know of any individual who may be interested in being a lunch monitor at Seaside please tell them to contact the office at 465-7600.

Scent Smart

A reminder that Seaside is a scent smart school. Staff, students and parents are asked not to use scented products including shampoo, hairsprays, gels, etc. when they are coming to Seaside. We have staff and students who are sensitive to scented products. Also please refrain from bringing any pets into the school building as many of our students have allergies.
